Privacy policy
This explains what we do with your data. Short version: we use it to answer you and run your trip, we measure site traffic with Google Analytics, and we sell data to nobody.
1. Who handles your data
Axira Logistics, RNC 133-57916-2, registered in the Dominican Republic, trading as This Way China.

2. What we collect
From the contact form: name, email, and — if you give them — phone and the passport you hold, plus the content of your message.
If you book: full name as it appears on the passport, dates, travel insurance details and any dietary or medical requirements you tell us about.
From browsing: pages visited, time on site, device type, language and approximate country, through Google Analytics. Server logs also record IP addresses, which we need to detect abuse of the form.
Payment is processed by PayPal. We never receive or store card numbers or banking credentials.
3. What we use it for
To answer your message and prepare a quote, on the basis of your own request.
To organise and run the trip you book, on the basis of the contract between us.
To meet tax and accounting obligations.
To understand how the site is used and improve it, on the basis of our legitimate interest in it working well.
We do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us. If we ever send news, it will be because you asked, and one click gets you out.
4. Cookies and analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic. GA4 sets first-party cookies in your browser and sends Google usage data: pages viewed, visit duration, device, language and approximate location. IP addresses are transmitted anonymised.
We use no advertising cookies and share none of this with ad networks. We also never cross this measurement with what you send us through the form.
Your language choice is stored in your own browser and never leaves your device.
You can block cookies in your browser settings, browse privately, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). The site works the same without them.
Typefaces are served from Google Fonts, which means a request to Google servers when the page loads.
5. Who else sees it
The local suppliers on your trip — hotels, transport, guides — and only what each needs to deliver the service.
Maileroo, which delivers the emails from the form.
Google, as the provider of the site's hosting (Google Cloud) and analytics.
PayPal, when you make a payment.
Authorities, where the law requires it. Nobody else: we do not sell or trade personal data.
6. International transfers
We run trips in China and use suppliers in the United States and the European Union, so your data travels outside the Dominican Republic.
We share only what the service requires and hold our suppliers to the same standard of confidentiality we apply ourselves.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become bookings: up to two years, in case you write again.
Bookings and invoicing: as long as Dominican tax and accounting rules require.
Server logs: ninety days at most.
Google Analytics data: fourteen months.
You can ask us to delete earlier anything we are not required to keep.
8. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, or object to a particular use, under Dominican Law 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data.
Write to info@thiswaychina.com from the address you contacted us with and we answer within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you may take it to the competent data protection authority.
If you'd rather we didn't keep your message after we've replied, say so and we won't.
9. Security
The site runs over HTTPS, the form has origin checking, a signed token and a submission limit, and what you send us is stored in accounts protected by two-factor authentication.
No system is perfect: if anything ever affects your data, we tell you and we tell you what happened.
10. Minors
The site is not aimed at anyone under eighteen and we do not knowingly collect their data. Minors travel accompanied by a parent or guardian, who makes the booking and provides their details.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant and you have a booking in progress, we tell you by email.
