Terms and conditions
These terms govern the trips and services sold by This Way China, the travel line of Axira Logistics (RNC 133-57916-2), registered in the Dominican Republic. Booking a trip means accepting them. They are written to be read: if something isn't clear, ask us before you pay.
1. Who you are contracting with
This Way China is a trading name of Axira Logistics, RNC 133-57916-2, incorporated in the Dominican Republic. That is the name on the invoices and the party answerable under this contract.
Trips are operated together with licensed local suppliers in each Chinese province: transport, accommodation, guides and interpreters. This Way China designs the trip, travels with it and answers to you for it; the suppliers answer to us.
2. What you are booking
Group trip: fixed dates, published cap and price per person. It is confirmed once the minimum number of travellers stated on the card is reached.
Private, business or custom trip: quoted case by case. The accepted quote, with its itinerary, forms part of these terms.
Guidance (study, visa, living): practical orientation from someone who lives in China. It is not legal, immigration or academic advice, and it guarantees no visa, admission or scholarship.
3. Prices and what they cover
Prices are published per person in US dollars (USD) and state expressly what they include and exclude. Anything not listed as included is not included.
The price holds once your booking is confirmed, unless taxes, government fees or the cost of an already contracted service change for reasons outside our control. If that happens we send you the breakdown and you may cancel without penalty within the following seven days.
Rooms are twin share. A single room carries a supplement and must be requested at booking.
4. Booking and payment
A booking exists once we confirm it in writing and the deposit has cleared. Until then the seat is not held.
Payment is made through PayPal, in US dollars (USD). We send you a payment link in the name of Axira Logistics; we never ask for or store card details.
PayPal fees and any currency conversion charges from your bank are on you.
[PENDIENTE: deposit amount, final payment schedule and deadline.]
5. If you cancel
Cancellations must be sent in writing to info@thiswaychina.com. The date that counts is the date we receive the email.
[PENDIENTE: cancellation windows and refund percentages.]
You may transfer your seat to someone else up to thirty days before departure, provided they meet the visa and documentation requirements and cover any name-change fees charged by airlines or suppliers.
Not showing up, or leaving the trip once it has started, does not entitle you to a refund of unused services.
6. If we cancel or change something
If a departure does not reach its minimum, we tell you at least thirty days ahead and you choose between a full refund of what you paid or a seat on another departure.
If we cancel for a reason attributable to us, the refund is full. It does not cover flights, visas or anything you booked on your own: that is why we recommend not buying flights until the departure is confirmed, and we tell you when it is.
Itineraries can change on the ground for weather, closures, roadworks or safety. We tell you the same day and replace what is affected with something of equivalent value. If the replacement costs less, the difference goes back to you.
7. Documents, visas and entry
Holding a valid passport, the right visa and any other entry requirement is the traveller's responsibility. We tell you what applies to your passport as orientation and with the information available that day; the consulate or the border authority always has the final word.
We are not liable for the consequences of a visa refusal, a refused entry or a denied boarding due to incomplete or incorrect documentation, and the cancellation terms in section 5 apply in that case.
8. Travel insurance
Travel insurance with medical and repatriation cover is required in order to travel with us. We may ask for proof before departure and reserve the right to refuse boarding to anyone without it.
We do not sell insurance and take no commission on it.
9. Health and fitness
Each trip states the effort it demands. By booking you confirm you are fit to take part and you tell us in writing about allergies, relevant medical conditions, medication and dietary needs.
That information is used only to organise the trip and shared strictly with the suppliers who need it. If a condition requires support we cannot guarantee on the ground, we tell you before accepting the booking.
10. Conduct on the trip
Trips run in small groups and in places where our partners live and work. Behaviour that endangers the group, the guides or the hosts, or that prevents the trip from running normally, ends your participation without a refund and with the cost of returning home on you.
Local law applies, and in China some of it works differently from what you may be used to. We tell you what matters before you fly.
11. Photography
We take photographs and video during trips and may use them to promote This Way China. If you would rather not appear in what we publish, say so at the start of the trip and that's the end of it; you can also ask us later to take a specific piece down.
12. Liability
We answer for the organisation of the trip and for choosing our suppliers with due care.
We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control: weather, natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, airline decisions, administrative closures, changes to immigration policy or acts of third parties outside the operation.
Our liability for direct damages is limited to the amount paid for the affected trip. Nothing here limits rights granted to you by applicable law that cannot be waived, including consumer rights under Dominican Law 358-05.
13. Complaints
If something goes wrong during the trip, say so at the time: almost everything can be fixed the same day and almost nothing can be fixed a month later.
Later complaints go in writing to info@thiswaychina.com within thirty days of the end of the trip. We answer within thirty days.
14. Intellectual property
The This Way China name, its visual identity, the published itineraries and the contents of this site belong to Axira Logistics. You may share them with attribution; you may not reproduce them commercially without written permission.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your trip is the one in force on the day your booking was confirmed, and it goes out with your confirmation.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any dispute is submitted to the courts of the Dominican Republic, without prejudice to any consumer rights you may exercise before ProConsumidor.
